This is a pop-up theatre, a temporary refuge for collaborative arts in the heart of Belfast. Accidental Theatre represents all you love in arts and culture, inside and beyond, in this city. With a focus on expanding audiences’ appetites for theatre, music, art, comedy, dance and unclassifiable live performance.
Accidental Theatre wants the building to be a place for cultural and community creative collisions. They help, support and amplify the vibrancy of Belfast's independent arts sector, bringing together audiences and artists to support one another and build a more enriched community for us all.
Established in the summer of 2017, Accidental Theatre is a special artistic hub created to support local artists, communities and audiences from across the city.
During the day the building houses offices for independent artists and young companies, rehearsals, workshops and hot-desking for creatives who need a place to sit, think and collaborate.
In the evening it becomes a performance space for artists from across the city to creatively experiment with new ideas, build audiences, collaborate and test new ground to help them grow as artists and break new ground in developing new entertainment and fun for the city of Belfast.
Every week they host a wide range of events like workshops, improv, stand-up, theatre, launches, dance and much more. There is always something new to see here and usually it’s one of a kind not seen anywhere else in the city.
