Down Royal Racecourse
Since the 17th Century Down Royal Racecourse has brought the "Sport of Kings" to generations of people in Northern Ireland - it's a race course steeped in history. Racing horses isn't just something we do at Down Royal, it's a part of our culture, our heritage and our spirit. We live, breathe and sleep it!
At Down Royal, our aim is to provide a top class day out for everyone coming racing, we have refurbished our public bar, all toilets throughout the site are 5* hotel spec, our Dark Horse Wine Bar and Café is open to all racegoers as is the new Silks @downroyal Food Bar – selling only Hannans of Moira burgers, sausages and pulled pork. Our hospitality pavilion has been a huge hit with both hospitality and punters pack guests- it is the ultimate networking destination in Northern Ireland as well as offering unrivalled views of the world class racing on show at Down Royal throughout the year.
You just can’t beat a day at the races - thundering hooves, pounding on the track, the multi-coloured flash of jockeys charging towards the finish line and the roar of a crowd rising from their seats to spot the winner. From the moment you enter the free car parks at Down Royal, we want you to have fun and we do our best to ensure that this happens - join us in 2016 to experience it!
