Irish Bread Making on the Shores of Strangford Lough (5 Apr)
Join Tracey in her house – an 18th century thatched barn on the shores of Strangford Lough – an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Traditional Irish breads were the staple food in Ireland historically. Northern Ireland is famous for their potato bread and their soda breads. Learn how to bake these breads in the traditional way and give it a try! You will enjoy the fruits of your effort with local handmade butter, dulse butter, jams, and local tea or coffee.
You will also be baking a local sweet dish of this area, traybakes. You will help Tracey prepare these treats and then you will enjoy them with a tea or coffee.
