Description

Situated on Ireland’s east coast, The Copeland Distillery is one of the smallest working distilleries, producing a range of award-winning Irish gins, rums, vodka, single malt and pot still whiskies.

Launched as a University project in 2015 by Gareth Irvine, and backed by a crowdfunding initiative, the business raised £30,000.00 over 7 weeks with the support of over 370 supporters. The Distillery opened in 2019 with a 125-year land lease, signally the Distillery’s commitment to Donaghadee & ambition to share the area’s rich maritime/distilling history.

The Distillery is the production site of award-winning Classic Irish & Navy Strength gins, a range of rums & malt & pot-still whiskey (currently maturing prior to release in 2025).
