This year, Out to Lunch will enter its 19th year having had an immense impact on local arts provision in recent years. They have transformed the cultural landscape of January in the city with a packed programme of excellent theatre, comedy, music and literature events. There are a number of events taking place for less than £10 – some even include lunch with your ticket.

Clifton House

Clifton House, formerly the Poor House, was built in 1774 by the Belfast Charitable Society and is one of Belfast’s most historic buildings. Clifton House offer immersive tours of the former Poor House, where you can hear the stories of those who lived in the house in the 18th and 19th century. Clifton House also offer tours of Clifton Street Cemetery, where the great and good of Belfast are buried side by side the poorest of the City.

Templemore Baths is the only remaining Victorian bath-house on the island of Ireland. Explore this heritage gem in Belfast by guided tour or self-guided visit. The guided tours are led by experienced tour guides who bring the history of the Baths to life in an engaging and friendly tour lasting around an hour.

Belfast Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral Church of St. Anne, has stood for over 100 years as a place of Christian worship in the heart of Belfast. Take a guided tour of the stunning Romanesque building and find out how the Cathedral’s story is intertwined with that of its home city, discover the rich historic artefacts and be introduced to the people who helped shape this sacred place. Fees are £2 for admission, £1 for a guide book and £5 for a guided or audio tour. The Cathedral is open from 10.30am to 4.00pm with the last admission at 3.45pm.

Scrapyard Golf is probably the world’s craziest indoor golf adventure! This indoor family-run 21-hole golf course + a BONUS HOLE has been designed with only the golfer in mind. They want you to have an unbelievable experience while discovering each and every exciting hole that they have dreamt up. General admission is £9 with discounted rates for students and seniors – kids 12 and under are £6.

IFA Education and Heritage Centre

Irish FA Tours

Irish FA Tours tells the unique story of Northern Ireland football from 1880 to present day using a variety of media, interactive displays, key artefacts and behind the scenes access. A tour of the iconic grounds of the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park and visit to the Education and Heritage Centre allows visitors to relive their favourite moments following Northern Ireland and walk in the footsteps of footballing legends. Adult tickets are £8.50, concessions are £6.50 and children can go for £5.50.

Hillsborough Castle  (1)

Hillsborough Castle and Gardens

Discover Northern Ireland’s only royal residence, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, located just 20 minutes from Belfast. Entry into the gardens is £10 for adults, £8 for concession and £5 for children. Highlights of a visit to the gardens include ornamental lawns, meandering waterways, peaceful woodlands and picturesque glens.

Bright Sparks is W5’s unique and exciting week long summer camp for inquisitive young minds aged 8 to 11

W5 is Belfast’s award-winning science and discovery centre and provides a unique experience as well as fantastic fun for visitors of all ages. W5 have exhibits and experiences covering everything from climate change and nature to film and TV production, optical illusions, built engineering, medical science and much, much more. An Adult ticket is £9.50 and a child is £7.50. There are also great family packages to choose from at affordable prices.

Enjoy an epic adventure at The Lost City Adventure Golf – food, drinks and indoor fun for all ages. Make your way around the course through (simulated) thunder and lightning storms and challenge your skills against rainforest animals and moving walls. Prices start from £4.50 for kids aged five and under, £6.50 for those six to 11-years-old and £8.50 for adults.

Enjoy a great day out at Dundonald International Ice Bowl with a host of fantastic activities all under one roof. Choose to ice skate at the public Olympic size ice rink, become king of the lanes in the Xtreme Tenpin Bowling Centre or go wild for the adventure of Indiana Land play kingdom. Adults can ice skate for £7.50 or enjoy a bowling game for £4 per person, while little ones can enjoy Indiana Land from £4.50.
