Belfast Christmas Lights Switch-On

Children’s TV favourites PJ Masks are coming to light up Belfast along with Cool FM, Mr Hullaballoo, Fortwilliam Musical Society and Lord Mayor, Councillor John Finucanebefore the big switch-on. Tickets for the switch-on have all been allocated, but you can still soak up the festive atmosphere before the event at Belfast Christmas Market, which opens at 12pm on the day. If you secured tickets for the switch-on online, don’t forget to print them off or have them ready for scanning on your phone on entry.
Father Christmas Arrival and Light Switch on at Titanic Belfast

Expect lots of festivities at Titanic Belfast on 24 November from 12.30pm, as they get ready to welcome Santa and turn on their Christmas lights! At the start of the day they’ll be looking out for a child to light up their Christmas tree, then hosting family fun with a brass band, funfair entertainers and seasonal food, followed by Father Christmas’ arrival on his favourite reindeer and sleigh!
CS Lewis Square Switch-On

Expect magic in the air at CS Lewis Square from 22 to 23 November, with a festive market stalls and dining under the stars. It’s all part of the annual CS Lewis Festival, which celebrates the east Belfast-born writer through a series of storytelling and spiritual-themed events. Come along on Friday 22 November at 7pm for the Christmas lights switch-on in CS Lewis Square, where there will be family fun for all ages.
Bangor Christmas Switch-On
23 November, McKee Clock
Join the Mayor, Alderman Bill Keery, Santa and a special guest for the Christmas lights switch-on at 5.30pm, followed by the spectacular annual fireworks display (best viewing spots, along the coastal path and promenade). There will be lots of festive attractions throughout Bangor all day, including a festive market, carousel, roller disco and children’s light parade.
Newtownards Christmas Switch-On

Cool FM’s Pete Snodden will be turning on the Christmas lights in Newtownards from 5.30pm, along with the Mayor of Ards and North Down and Santa Claus himself! Expect lots of festive fun throughout the day too, including markets, a traditional children’s lantern parade, musical shows and the Creative Penninsula Christmas Fayre.
Lisburn Christmas Lights Switch On
21 November, Lisburn city centre
Watch Lisburn light up for Christmas on 21 November with a fun programme of family entertainment, including a children’s lantern parade, choir performances and mini funfair in Smithfield Square.
