Travel with Scrooge to visit Christmases past and conjure up Christmas yet to come to see if he’s learned from his mistakes.

With fairies, crocodiles, flying children, and mermaids, join the Darling children as they embark on the most magical adventure – where Hook and the crew of the Jolly Roger come face to face with all of Neverland and the boy who won’t grow up. Paul Boyd returns with an exciting new musical of Peter Pan, adapted from the play by JM Barrie.


Beauty and the Beast

29 November to 12 January, Grand Opera House

With a huge cast of 30 and a spectacular set, Beauty and the Beast is the biggest panto show in Northern Ireland. May McFettridge celebrates her 30th season as the Queen of Belfast Pantomime and is joined by Ben Richards and Britain’s Got Talent favourite Mandy Muden. Don’t miss this magical adventure packed full of comedy, colour and amazing song and dance, which tells the story of Belle who is held captive in an enchanted castle by the formidable beast.

Aladdin the Pantomime

18 December to 4 January, Belvoir Studio Theatre

Belvoir Players’ annual pantomime extravaganza returns with an adventurous tale of a hero, a wizard, a princess and a genie. The wicked Abanazar is seeking the magic lamp that contains the all-powerful Genie, so that he can rule the world! Packed with songs, slapstick and audience participation expect a classic pantomime experience that’s fun for all the family!

Roy and Silo are two male Chinstrap penguins. Just like the other penguin pairs at Central Park Zoo, they walk, play, swim and dance together. When the duo decide to try and hatch a rock in place of an egg, they find themselves on an adventure that could mean raising a chick for real! This delightful theatre and dance production is inspired by a true story.

Join the Crescent Arts Centre for an Arabian night of entertainment! Meet Aladdin, the rough and rugged hero who falls in love with the beautiful princess Jasmine. Meanwhile the wicked Abanazar threatens to steal the magic lamp and rule the world. But it’s not all doom and gloom: along the way you’ll meet Mrs Scrubbing-Brush and Wee Sandy who prove more important to the hero’s story than you might think.

Welcome to the Dander Inn, deep in the Sperrins, one of the many claimants to being the highest pub in Ireland, where travelers take refuge from a snow storm. Camping out in the pub becomes the only option and when the heater runs out of gas begin to wonder, are they trapped, or are they prisoners?


Xmas for Dummies

10-22 December, Grand Opera House

Described as “the ‘80s movie Mannequin set in Castle Street…with cheaper actors,” Xmas for Dummies promises a dark comedy antidote to all the usual Christmas smaltz. Starring Tara Lynne O’Neill and Chris Robinson, this face paced comedy tells the story of shop assistant Tracey who finds herself locked in her shop on Christmas Eve night with only the mannequins for company.


Deck the Falls

10-21 December, MAC

Comic duo Ciaran Nolan and Gerard Jordan are back with plans, scams and skulduggery to Deck the Falls this Christmas! Two doormen have a cunning plan, two doggy men have a dilemma, two auld dolls have an epiphany and two greyhounds go on the run… and that’s just in Act One! Don’t miss this hilarious festive comedy.
