Description

Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston for an illustrated Terror Talk on Ulster-born graveyard ghouls William Burke and William Hare!

Andrew will tell the whole, gory story of the devilish duo, from their origins in the north of Ireland to that fateful meeting in Scotland and the ensuing series of monstrous, money-making murders.

The night will remember each of Burke and Hare's victims, and explore what became of the killers (and their wives) once their criminal career was finally exposed.

The talk will also shine a light on the dark art of body snatching, revealing why medical men of the 18th and 19th centuries craved fresh cadavers...

So, come along to the iconic Sunflower Public House, buy a drink, pull up a seat and let Andrew take you back to the late 1820s, when no body was safe from Burke and Hare!
