Alternative Ulstours Presents Terror Talks: Cryptid – An Unnatural History of Ireland’s Unknown Animals
Description
Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston for an illustrated Terror Talk on Ireland's 'cryptids' - animals disputed or unverified by mainstream science.
Andrew will hit the trail of legendary beasts including the Dobhar-chú, Muirdris and the Werewolves of Ossory, as well as examining Victorian 'sea serpents' and investigating encounters with ape-men, phantom cats and lake monsters.
The night will explore potential scientific explanations, invoking the possible natural origins of folkloric creatures such as the banshee and selkies.
The talk will also tackle UFO sightings and the chilling prospect that extraterrestrials may regularly invade Irish skies...
So, come along to the iconic Sunflower Public House, buy a drink, pull up a seat and let Andrew take you into the unknown, where imagination roams free!
