Description

An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson is coming to Waterfront Hall providing a unique opportunity to look back at Sir Michael’s illustrious career and hear first-hand from the man who has interviewed the world.

This event celebrates the life and career of a man who has interviewed over 2000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries. With a catalogue of guests to make any journalist green with envy, Sir Michael has interviewed them all: Orson Wells, Billy Connolly, John Lennon, Bing Crosby, Bette Davis…the list goes on…not forgetting his famous tête-à-tête with Mohammed Ali!

In conversation with his son Mike and showing highlights from the Parkinson archive, An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson is a unique opportunity to get an intimate, entertaining and informative look at his remarkable journey from humble roots of a pit village in Yorkshire to the top of those famous stairs whilst reliving the best moments from a show that for many defined their Saturday night.
