Description

Armed Forces Day 2024 will be hosted by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council at Jordanstown Loughshore Park, full of family and entrainment to celebrate.

The day will begin at 10am with the opening of the Military Village and Civilian Village, shortly after at 10:30am a Drumhead Service at Whiteabbey War Memorial will take place located a short 10 minute walk away from Jordanstown Loughshore Park.

At 11am a Military Parade from The Whiteabbey Memorial will march to Jordanstown Loughshore Park followed by a Gun Salute at 11:45am. At 11:55am The Red Arrows Aerial Display will begin, this will be the first nine-aircraft show since 2021 and will feature maneuvers not seen for a generation, also the only feature to display in Northern Ireland as a part of their milestone celebrations.

Throughout the rest of the day until from 12:30pm - 4:30pm there will be a range of entertainment including, music, military demonstrations, a STEM competition for younger people, military and civilian stalls and stands, as well as a live Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Aerial Display. To finish off the day at 4:30pm the Military will perform a Beating Retreat.
