Description

Terry Bradley is an international artist born in Belfast in 1965, while growing up during the Troubles in Northern Ireland he found a form of escapism in art.

His artwork is inspired by the proud working men of the city docklands and also the strong confident women who lived alongside them. Terry’s artwork has also become a part of Northern Ireland culture with recent art installations including a large wall mural at the Titanic buildings Hickson’s Point and Lanark Way Peace Wall.

Although he is already well known throughout Ireland he has reached a new global audience in the form of his distinctive dockland piece which features in ‘Belfast’ the movie from Kenneth Branagh, starring Jamie Dornan.

If you are around Victoria Square shopping centre in Belfast’s City Centre call in to our eponymous gallery to hear an inspirational talk given by one of our experienced gallery staff who will give you an insight into Terrys life, the charities he supports, a story telling behind the pieces and the characters he depicts including ‘Sailortown’, ‘The Belfast Dockers’, ‘Titanic’, The Kiss and not forgetting ‘Never Give Up’.

All visitors for the talk will also receive one of our ‘Never Give Up’ wristbands to show support to anyone struggling with life. Terry is very open about his mental health and his own struggles.

The experience is at the Belfast gallery, UG35, Victoria Square Shopping Centre, Belfast BT1 4QG.

This is a free event.
