Description

Explore the oldest cobbled streets of this vibrant city, see colourful street art and hear why Belfast is now a UNESCO city of music!

Get your walking shoes on and take the Belfast City Highlights Tour to get a taste of Belfast’s special vibe and see many of the top sights of interest! If you’re new to the city, come explore the oldest parts of the city centre and discover what you’d like to learn more about.  We will stroll down cobbled streets and historic 'Entries' or alleyways and find our oldest public houses. You will see colourful and abundant street art along the way and listen to music snippets by some of the city’s many great current musicians to find out why Belfast is a UNESCO City of Music.

This two-hour leisurely walking tour will begin at the ‘Salmon of Knowledge’ (Big Fish) sculpture on Donegall Quay and end at Belfast’s oldest public house, Kelly’s Cellars.  In between, you will:

  • Cross open squares – Writers and Custom House.
  • Explore the Cathedral Quarter, home to so much music and cultural activity.
  • Find where Belfast’s music exhibition is located.
  • Walk along the streets that host the annual ‘Hit the North’ festival, to enjoy amazing street art by international and local artists.
  • Hear about some rising stars of the contemporary music scene.

Along the way, your guide will share stories about some of the colourful characters of Belfast down the years and key moments in our history and tell you about current festivals, gigs and other events taking place.
