Belfast Tango Winter Fest

They will hold a weekend of workshops, Show case and Private classes.

GUSTAVO RUSSO & FLORENCIA LUCANO

Gustavo started medical school at university to become a medical doctor but fate has prepared him for another path. He began dancing professionally in 1988 in Juan Carlos Cope's show "Tango-Tango". He continued his dancing career by being part of the performance teams of great tango orchestras of his time, such as José Colágelo, Julian Plazá, José Bassó, Jorge Dragoné, Osvaldo Berlingierí, Mariano Mores, Sextexto Mayor, and Osvaldo Pugliese. In 1992 Gustavo was in the original cast of "Tango Pasion" where he became the star of the show until 1999. From 2000, he toured with " Tango Seduccion" and "Tango Revolution" in which he is the director and choreographer, performing in some of the most important theatres in the world. He received raving reviews from dance critics all around the world, such as Le Figaro, Le Monde, and the Morgen Post in Hamburg. Currently, in addition to his touring shows, Gustavo travels the world to Tango Festivals giving Master classes and performing with his partner Florencia Lucano.

HERNAN CATVIN & TARA WHELAN

Belfast Argentine Tango Society is thrilled to have their friends Hernan Catvin is also Argentianian born and his partner Tara joining from Waterford Tango. Hernan and Tara will be leading the newbies on their first steps on the tango floor. Hernan will also delight us as TDJ for the Saturday evening Milonga with all the tunes to keep everyone dancing.
