In this masterclass, led by Bushmills Brand Ambassador Lauren McMullan, you will take on the role of the Master Blender in replicating the Bushmills 16 year Old Single Malt.
Granted a license to distil in 1608, the Old Bushmills Distillery is the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world and has been producing whiskey on the rugged North Coast of Ireland for well over 400 years.
Bushmills Irish Whiskey is founded on tradition and craftsmanship, which is reflected in every bottle.
Helen Mulholland, who has been the Master Blender since 2005, is the person tasked with ensuring every bottle released adheres to its distinct recipe and flavour profile. With currently over 300,000 casks on site at the distillery and every cask having its own nuances, twists and turns, this is no easy task. It is a true art to maintain consistency across every bottle.
In this masterclass, led by Bushmills Brand Ambassador Lauren McMullan, you will take on the role of the Master Blender in replicating the Bushmills 16yr Old Single Malt, keeping as close to the original flavour profile as possible by blind tasting and blending three Bushmills Single Malt Whiskeys. Once you have completed the blending you can take home your own unique Bushmills creation in a 5cl miniature bottle!
You will also receive :-
- Three signature Bushmills drinks prepared by ‘Soda’ Farrell, Beverage Director of the Belfast Gin & Spirits school.
- Nibbles to compliment the drinks of the day.
- Bushmills goodie bag.
This new event is organised in association with Bushmills Irish Whiskey and The Belfast Gin and Spirits School.
- Tickets £42.50
