Coppersmithing with Lake & Oak (Half day)

Starting at 2pm and finishing at 5pm, you will learn the basics of heating, chiselling, filing and texturing copper. Together, you will form a leaf pattern, adding texture and colour to it using a wide range of techniques. With hands on help and guidance from Matthew and Caron, every participant will come away with a leaf pendant necklace and one other item.

Every workshop participant can have a break in between and enjoy a free coffee/tea and home baked cake slice/traybake.

When you learn to work with copper, you are also sowing the seeds for smithing more precious materials like silver and gold. For this reason, a workshop with Lake & Oak is often the beginning of something new, a new passion and skill that will become as valuable to you as the items you create.
