Create a Peg Loom Wall Hanging
Description
Take inspiration from the colours and landscapes surrounding you to create a unique wall hanging on a peg loom.
This workshop will introduce you to the art of peg loom weaving, an easy and quick method to produce a fabric.
Work with a variety of fibres, yarns and ‘trimmings’, on looms of differing widths.
Start with a very basic project and once you get into the swing of it, let your imagination and creativity loose and see what you can make! If the weather is good, the experience will be enjoyed in the garden gazebo, listening to bird song, buzzing insects, and the sound of contented horses eating and dozing in the field. The fresh air and energy of this part of the world helps to relieve stress as does the very action of being creative and learning a new skill.
If the weather is not quite suitable to sit in the garden a cosy workshop is available.
Tea and coffee, home-made scones and cakes, as well as cold drinks will be on-tap throughout the afternoon, with plenty of time for a bit of craic and storytelling!
