Description

Local tour guide and project participant Gerry O’Neill shares a journey via video to meet ordinary people from east Belfast’s past.

EastSide Lives is a heritage trail celebrating ‘millies’, shopkeepers, delivery drivers, healthcare providers and the ‘King of East Belfast’ through artwork and interpretation at geographically significant points.

Afterwards, meet the team behind the EastSide Lives Heritage Trail in a live Q&A. Local people have spent a year delving into the past to research the content for the EastSide Lives project. Ask them about their experiences and whether they discovered any skeletons in the cupboard, long lost relatives, or a new-found love of local history.

This event marks the completion and launch of a year-long project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund NI.
