Enchanted Winter Garden

The Enchanted Winter Garden will be lighting up Antrim Castle Gardens from Saturday 25 November until Tuesday 19 December 2023, with two inclusive evenings on Wednesdays 6 and 13 December for those with additional needs.

Many attractions and traders have been confirmed and word on the ‘Antrim High Street’ is that The Grinch is planning on stealing the show.

The Giant Wheel will tower 40ft over the event, surrounded by thousands of lights and other attractions such as the Wave Swinger, Dazzling Teacups, The Enchanted Spinner and Helter Skelter.

Santa will be in his grotto and has organised themed attractions including Santa’s Toy Ride Carousel and Train Ride, suitable for the smaller children of the family.

The Festive Fayre will feature various stalls selling hot chocolate and other tasty food and drinks, gifts perfect for Christmas and a marshmallow roasting station alongside a seating area for event goers to stop and take in all the Enchanted Winter Garden has to offer.

The Enchanted Winter Garden has become a festive family tradition for many people across Northern Ireland and tourists alike.

Evening of Inclusive Enchantment – 6 & 13 Dec

An Evening of Inclusive Enchantment will run on both the 6 & 13 December. The key features of the Inclusive evenings are:

• Reduced capacity meaning a more relaxed/ calm environment
• Lighting will be kept static, no strobe or strong effects
• Reduced sound and music levels
• Sensory & Quiet rooms, ideal for children and adults with additional needs
• Attractions and rides will be slowed down
• Mobility Assistance (Mobility Scooters/ Wheelchairs can be hired by appointment only)
• Santa will have a BSL Signer alongside him
• Changing Places Facility onsite as well as a Mobile Changing Places Facility called AccessoLoo

Tokens:

Tokens are required for the attractions at Enchanted Winter Garden. Purchase these when buying your tickets online and get 12 tokens for £10 (or 10 for £10 if bought at the event).

Other Info

This event has been designed to cater to all ages and abilities. However, care should be taken on paths and they are not suitable for very large buggies. Paths are suitable for some push wheelchairs.

All visitors should take care as the event is an outdoor winter experience with low light levels so conditions underfoot can be slippy in places with uneven surfaces in some event areas due to the historical and woodland nature of the site.

Dogs are very welcome at the Enchanted Winter Garden. Any dogs attending the event must be on their leads at all times. We do ask that you be aware that the site can be busy in places, and that there are very hot lights, electricity cables and loudspeakers often situated at curious doggy level.
