Working with the archive has become almost ubiquitous for most contemporary documentary filmmakers, resulting in issues around access and financial availability of this material becoming quite commonplace.
Experts in this field will consider how best to astutely engage with fair dealing, implementing it legally and pragmatically, as well as deliberating on options for improving the system to facilitate creative exploitation of archive in an ever-shifting copyright landscape.
