Féile an Phobail 2022
Description
Ireland’s biggest Community Arts Festival is back with its biggest and best line-up yet, with a series of massive outdoor concerts.
From music, sport and lively debates and discussions – the festival running from August 4 to 14 looks set to offer plenty for everyone to enjoy.
The inclusivity of its arts programming has continued to draw in audiences from across the city and beyond, to discover for themselves what the excitement is all about. And what it is all about is the realisation of an ambitious vision for the area, based on great art and the power of the arts to bring people and communities closer together through shared experiences. It’s about how the arts enable us express ourselves, our values, our traditions and our cultures, in very positive ways that are welcoming and open to everyone.
The August Festival is the annual flagship event, but it’s important to remember the critical developmental work that goes on in the background throughout the year, with Féile an Phobail building strategic partnerships with other major cultural organisations across Belfast and working to regenerate disadvantaged neighbourhoods and engage with hard-to-reach groups in the local area through its Community Engagement and Youth Arts programmes. It is easy to see why Féile an Phobail creates such a strong sense of civic pride and why it remains one of these islands’ most popular and successful community festivals.
Enjoy the festival, everyone!
