Les Amazones d'Afrique are a collective of supremely talented female musicians from West Africa, renowned for their blend of traditional African rhythms, and gritty contemporary pop.
Their performances are characterized by vibrant energy, intricate harmonies, and compelling lyrics that address issues of gender equality and social justice.
Les Amazones d'Afrique’s two previous albums garnered considerable acclaim — The Guardian’s Top 50 albums of 2017, NPR Music’s best albums of 2020, and their latest record, Musow Danse, released earlier this year, has been described as ‘one of the great pan-African consciousness LPs in modern history’ by Rolling Stone.
One of the world's most exhilarating live acts, the band have performed on Glastonbury Festival’s Pyramid stage and featured on flagship BBC music show Later… with Jools Holland.
