Due to the current pandemic, Clifton House has pushed the main celebrations of Mary Ann 250 until next year. However to mark this significant anniversary they are hosting two events on Zoom in July, facilitated by knowledgeable staff and volunteers.

These events are free but places are limited so register for each event by following the relevant link.

 

Mary Ann McCracken at 250: Her Life & Times - 8 July, 7pm
On the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mary Ann McCracken, explore the life and times of this remarkable woman who lived a full life dedicated to the poor and disadvantaged in society.

Ground Breakers Rebel Heart: The Life of Mary Ann McCracken Online Screening – 26 July, 8pm
As part of the digital Mary Ann 250 celebrations Clifton House is hosting an online screening through Zoom of the BBC documentary in which actress Michelle Fairley reveals the life and legacy of the social revolutionary Mary Ann McCracken. This will be followed by a question and answer session with the Archive & Heritage Development Officer. Clifton House would like to thank the BBC for permission to broadcast the documentary.

These virtual events will take place via Zoom. Once registered, a Zoom ID will be emailed to you on the morning of the event.
