Description

‘Reliquary, as Oubliette’ is an art exhibition that will open on Thursday 1 May 2025 in the Atypical Gallery and end on 25 June 2025.

The artist, Eibh Gordon, was selected as University of Atypical’s Belfast School of Art Graduate Award Winner after completing her Fine Art Master’s degree course at Ulster University in 2024.

‘Reliquary, as Oubliette’ is a body of work which explores the materialisation of mortality and pain through sculptural offerings and ensorcelled amulets.

Eibh Gordon is a queer visual artist practicing in Bangor. Her work explores the terror of lived experience into physical objects, often referencing the body.

The artist will give a free talk on Friday 9 May in the Atypical Gallery, starting at 2:30 pm. The artist talk will last for one hour and BSL will be available.

If you are bringing a group to view the exhibition and would like a bespoke tour, or to have British or Irish sign language or audio description, please contact University of Atypical in advance and the Gallery coordinator will try to arrange it.
