Sensory Nature Walk
Description
Take in the sights, sounds and smells of the natural world on a relaxing walk with the Ulster Folk Museum Education Officer on most Wednesdays throughout Summer.
Join the Ulster Folk Museum Education Officer, Nigel, as he brings you around different habitats and encourages you to take your time, noticing the different plants and animals that can be found. If you would like, you can record your experience on a postcard to keep or send to a loved one.
The Sensory Nature Walks are part of general admission tickets. There will be two walks per day at 11:00 and 14:00, lasting around 45 minutes, on the following dates;
- Wednesday 2nd July
- Wednesday 9th July
- Wednesday 23rd July
- Wednesday 30th July
- Wednesday 6th August
- Wednesday 13th August
- Wednesday 20th August
What to know:
-This is a general admission event.
-Suitable for all ages.
-Families with SEN children are particularly welcome.
-Walks are capped at small groups of 15.
-There will be no Sensory Nature Walk on Wednesday 16th July.
-All materials provided.
-This is a slow-paced gentle walk around the museum town area and a short distance into the rural area.
- The meeting point is outside the Ballycultra Tea Rooms, and stops include rural and natural areas near numbers 25, 23, 39 and 40 on the museum map.
- Adult Admission £12
- Child Admission £7.45
- Concession Admission £9.45
