Description

Belfast will mark the city's St Patrick’s Day celebrations on Tuesday 17 March with a vibrant carnival parade and free open-air concert headlined by global dance act Cascada.

The streets will be awash with colour and noise from 12.30pm as the parade snakes its way through the city centre. The carnival’s theme this year is 'Protecting the Environment and Climate Change', which will be reflected in the eye-catching floats, performers and magnificent costumes. Come along and see St Patrick, pipe bands, dancers and more on their colourful journey through the heart of the city.

The parade leaves from Belfast City Hall at 12.30pm and will travel along Chichester Street and Victoria Street, onto High Street and Donegall Street before finishing at Writers’ Square.

You can then make the short trip across to Custom House Square where visitors can enjoy a free concert hosted by Q Radio duo Ryan and Jordan, from 1.30pm-4pm.

The line-up includes local band All Folk’d Up, Banjacks, Loughgiel Irish dancers and Ibiza favourites Ben Santiago and Lovely Laura. They’ll be followed by the headline act – the global, multi-platinum dance sensation Cascada – who will performing some of her hits including ‘Everytime We Touch’ and ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’.

Entry to the concert is on a first-come, first-served basis and terms and conditions apply.
