Stargazing at Burr Point
Description
Experience the incredible starry skies above Burr Point, the most easterly point on the island.

Astronomers from the Northern Ireland Amateur Astronomy Society will be on hand with their telescopes ready to explore the planets and galaxies above.
Hotties Chocolate and the Mallow Makers will provide a special warm treat of hot chocolate and toasted marshmallow topping to finish the evening.
Oatmilk and Vegan/Dairy free hot chocolate also available.

Things to note
- Meeting point, Millisle Beach car park (BT22 2HS) to depart for Burr Point at 8.30pm.
- This event is for suitable for all ages. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Refreshments are limited to one cup of hot chocolate per person.
- * Please dress appropriately, the evenings can get quite cold. * Torches - Whilst torches are of course essential items they can adversely affect your stargazing experience. If you are bringing a torch, ensure it is a red torch. Leave your phone in your pocket, and if you do need to use white light for any reason be mindful of other stargazers!
- Stargazing events are weather dependant.

Getting there
Free Bus
A free bus will be provided to transport all participants from Millisle Beach to Burr Point:
- 8.30pm | Bus departs Millisle Beach car park
- 9.00pm | Stargazing event starts at Burr Point
- 10.30pm | Bus returns to Millisle Beach car park
Car Parking
Millisle Beach has a free car park for participants to use.
Accessibility
Accessible parking will be available at the car park at Burr Point. Requests for accessible parking must be made in advance, please state requirements at the time of booking by emailing events@ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk
The site is wheelchair accessible but it will be dark.
Accessible toilets will be available.
