The City Where Dreams Become Reality
Description
The finale to the 4 Corners Festival 2023 - What does it mean to live in a city with open gates, where all nations are welcome?
As you come to the end of this year’s festival 4 Corners conclude with a vision from near the end of the Biblical scriptures (Revelation 21-22), that of a new holy, beautiful city where God dwells among the people, all tears are wiped away and the reign of pain and death has passed away.
Is this simply pie in the sky for the sweet by and by, or can this dream shape reality in our city, and other cities across the world in the here and now? What does it mean to live in a city with open gates, where all nations are welcome and find healing in the leaves of its trees?
Speaker: Rev. Dr. Inderjit Bhogal OBE: Founder and President of the City of Sanctuary movement, a former President of the British Methodist Conference and former Leader of the Corrymeela Community. His work in interfaith relations was recognised with an OBE in the 2005 New Year’s Honours list and he is recipient of the World Methodist Peace. (See https://www.inderjitbhogal.com)
