Description

The celebrations at Queen's University Belfast starts on Monday 20 January, featuring a launch event, a Chinese Dragon Dance and interactive cultural displays.

The Launch Event is scheduled between 12pm and 1pm with refreshments at the end in the Auditorium, McClay Library, followed by a Chinese Dragon Dance and Procession beginning outside the Library, moving to the front of the Lanyon Building and finally the Main Site Tower where the interactive cultural displays and workshops, with music, will continue.

This event will also launch a series of presentations, providing opportunities to anyone that would like to gain insights into contemporary Chinese culture, as well as the experiences of Chinese people living and working in Belfast, through a series of interactive talks from a range of invited speakers as part of the 'Chinese Culture Forum'.

During this year's celebrations, we will also be promoting a student-led Chinese Language Interest Group, with activities taking place throughout the academic year.
