VE Day 80th Anniversary
Description
Belfast City Council are providing a special programme of events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
Come and enjoy shared moments of celebration including:
- VE Day Celebration Tea Dance hosted by BBC Radio Ulster’s Hugo Duncan
- City Centre Belfast Blitz Walking Tours (In conjunction with Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum)
- Second World War City Centre Walking Tour with Belfast Historian Jason Burke
- VE Day 80 Celebration hosted by Tim McGarry and Dr David Hume (From the BBC Show, The Long and the Short of It) - enjoy an evening of memory and song, evoking the sounds and scenes that greeted the announcement of VE Day in Belfast on 8 May 1945.
