Escape during your lunch hour for a fantastic concert inspired by Rossni.
Rossini was a prolific composer of opera, producing 39 by the age of 37 at which point he retired! The Italian Girl in Algiers is a madcap story with a Rossini trademark overture, full of catchy melodies and the composer’s sense of fun.
And given the sense of fun, Rossni would surely approve of the other piece in his programme, Nicoloa Campogrande’s Concerto for Audience and Orchestra. Involving kazoos, sweet wrappers and singing, come prepared for some audience participation this lunchtime.
