Description

Come and join Belfast Cemetery for a wander through one of Belfast's most historical settings.

Belfast City Cemetery is one of the true hidden gems of Belfast’s historical landscape. This wonderfully ornate Victorian cemetery is the final resting place of some of Belfast most notable figures and boasts some fascinating features such as The Victorian Fountain, The Jewish Cemetery, The Central Steps and an underground wall built to separate catholic and protestant graves in the 1800’s.

Belfast City Council have teamed up with C21 Theatre Company to create an incredible new “Living History” experience at Belfast City Cemetery.

Visitors will be escorted on a guided tour through the cemetery where they will encounter a host of colorful characters from the past who will share their stories and reveal some of the hidden history of the city and its people.

The tour is suitable for visitors of all ages.

The tour lasts for 90 minutes and is fully accessible.

This event is part of the Belfast City Cemetery Regeneration Project which is funded by Belfast City Council and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
