Belfast is a city that takes pride in its array of local food producers, from local meats to artisan chocolates, not to mention a thriving craft beer and gin scene.
St George's Market
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays head to the award-winning St George's Market. The market is a culinary and cultural adventure, with everything from fresh food to live music. Wander around the market stalls which are packed with handmade crafts, vintage clothes, fresh ingredients and antiques.
If it's tasty treats and edible purchases that you're searching for, there's no better destination than Sawers, a famous family-owned business in the heart of Belfast with an extensive range of fine foods. There is an old Belfast saying: "If you can't get it in Sawers, you can't get it anywhere".
If you've got a sweet tooth, Co Couture crafts luxurious chocolates using specially created blends of the finest French and Italian couverture to ensure the ultimate taste experience. Make sure to try their homemade marshmallows and super-premium chocolate bonbons!
1.30pm: The Perfect Gift
Shopping for a present, or searching for something truly unique? Look no further - Belfast is a one-stop destination.
Avoca is an Irish treasure trove for gifts, food and homeware, as well as being famous for its Irish, hand-woven throws and scarves created on 300 year old hand-weaving looms in their mill in County Wicklow. It stocks the finest food as well as some of the leading names in home and fashion labels.
Visit Belfast Welcome Centre
The Visit Belfast Welcome Centre is the perfect place to pick up an authentic Belfast keepsake. It's brimming with gifts from a variety of local designers and producers with souvenirs, clothing and even a local recipe book to take home the taste of Belfast.
