Belfastology Walking Tours
Description
Belfastology Walking Tours have developed a number of original tours and experiences that take you all over Northern Ireland. Most of the tours are based in Belfast, and cover everything from street art to architecture and the city’s incredible history.
Marti from Belfastology has developed tours that discover the past, present and future of Northern Ireland. From its humble beginnings to its industrial heritage to tomorrow’s tech and advanced engineering.
The Belfast Eclectic City Centre Walking Tour is the most popular experience along #theMartiWay, covering history, the Troubles, architecture, street art, people, industrial heritage and modern day engineering. Leaving from Belfast City Hall and ending in the Cathedral Quarter you’ll discover some of the Belfast buildings along the way that make the city such a beautiful and unique place.
You'll hear of the colourful history that has shaped this part of the Island of Ireland over 9,000 years and discover some of the famous local street art, people and things invented here.
You can also combine this tour with the Political Murals Street Art and Peace Gate Walking Tour, stopping for a two hour lunch break so you can sample incredible local food. If you take this as a private tour you can choose which walk you take first.
The Street Art, Music and Pub Experience is described as a fabulous introduction to help you plan the rest of your time in a fascinating city of the future. Take in great venues that host live music, see street art and go on a wee dander through the streets of Belfast to get your bearings, while Marti points out key things to do in the city centre. You’ll start in St Anne's Square, then discover the birthplace of a new generation of musicians as you meander the narrow entries and hear the history of music in the city.
