Description

Learn to make your own traditional Northern Irish griddle breads in the cosy surroundings of Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen – only 30 minutes from Belfast. You’ll enjoy award-winning food and drink, and take away a bag full of your homemade breads along with a copy of the recipes. This is an immersive experience, which is unique to Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen.

Would you like to learn how to make local Irish breads in a traditional thatched cottage on the shores of Strangford Lough – 30 minutes outside Belfast? This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and a true feast for the eyes.

If so, join Tracey in her home, where you’ll be welcomed with the aroma of freshly made griddle breads, soda and wheaten, and a table laden with homemade treats.

Homemade bannock will be warm, just out of the oven for your arrival, so bring an appetite! There will be an impressive selection of other local treats for you to enjoy such as award-winning handmade butter, homemade jams and endless cups of Belfast brew.

Then you will make your own traditional Irish breads. You may choose to stay at the table and enjoy the homemade food, or you might prefer to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

All breads are made on the griddle and so only take a short time {10 to 13 minutes} before they’re ready to eat.

You will take home a bag of your own homemade breads and a copy of all of the recipes of everything that you will taste and enjoy.

If you’re looking for something off the beaten track and you’re keen to meet the locals and dine in a traditional home, then this is the perfect experience for you.

This experience is perfect for you if you want to learn about our rich food and drink culture. The baking aspect is very simple and is good for non-bakers. It’s very relaxed. Join Tracey as a visitor and leave as a friend.
