Description

Located in the heart of Belfast City Centre, Pizza on the Square is an authentic Italian restaurant offering a selection of freshly baked pizza, pasta, wine & cocktails.

Dating back to 1902, the iconic Scottish Provident Building proudly stands in the heart of Belfast City Centre, boasting a rich history. This prominent building served as the original headquarters of the Northern Ireland Civil Service shortly after the passing of the Government of Ireland Act 1920 which saw Ireland divided into two territories, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.

It was here that Sir Ernest Clark, the first ever Head of the NI Civil Service, played a pivotal role in creating the administrative structures for the Northern Ireland government which officially came into existence on 3rd May 1921.

More than 100 years on Pizza on the Square is now an award winning Italian restaurant overlooking Belfast City Hall, serving authentic, freshly baked pizzas & pasta using only the best, locally sourced ingredients.
