Description

QFT - Northern Ireland's leading independent cinema

Established in 1968, the Queen's Film Theatre, or QFT, is the living, breathing heart of independent cinema in Northern Ireland and occupies a unique place in Belfast’s cultural and entertainment life. It shows the very best in new and classic world cinema and hosts local and international film festivals and seasons throughout the year with regular theatrical premieres. QFT welcomes special guests from the world of cinema every month, hosting Q&As with directors and cast – bringing film lovers face to face with filmmakers.

“Few places can match the vibrant atmosphere of Northern Ireland’s best loved cinema” Mark Kermode, Film Critic for BBC and The Guardian

QFT makes its cultural film programme accessible to all members of the community, including those in primary/secondary education, those in unemployment or who consider themselves having a disability. It provides access screenings featuring audio enhancement, audio description and on-screen captioning.

QFT is also available for hire as a venue for private screenings, weddings, conferences and special occasions! Submit an enquiry via our website >>

You can book tickets online, in person at QFT Box Office or by telephone on 028 9097 1097 after 6pm.

Opening times vary, depending on film times – doors open 30mins before the first screening of the day, check the website for film listings.
