Southside Social is a cocktail bar with character. The first thing you'll notice is the intimate and welcoming neighbourhood vibe. The next is the secret, retro-inspired Chinese takeaway down the back.
The laid-back atmosphere and bespoke drinks menu draw in a young and diverse crowd. You'll find hoody-clad creatives at the bar and on-trend couples getting cosy in the booths. The interior is warm, inviting and lacks any pretensions.
At the weekend, the DJ booth plays host to the finest up-and-coming local DJ talent. The soundtrack is stacked with classic disco, deeper cuts and forgotten gems.
For a feed, put your order in – for sit-in or takeaway – at the in-house Chinese takeaway, Lucky Duck. Step inside, and it's like the '80s have never left. From dark-wood-panelled walls and wacky floor tiles, to the old-school TV playing Top Of The Pops reruns, it's the quintessential retro takeaway experience.
