Bus and Trains

Translink is the main provider of public transport in Northern Ireland. Download their Translink Access Guide for information on how to use their services if you have a disability or find using transport difficult.


Many taxi providers, such as Value Cabs, can provide wheelchair-friendly accessible vehicles when requested.


Both George Best Belfast City Airport and Belfast International Airport can provide assistance to visitors if required. This includes help with checking in, going though security, boarding the aircraft and collecting your baggage.

Disabled Car Parking

There are a large number of accessible on-street disabled car parking spaces available throughout Belfast City Centre for Blue Badge holders.

A number of car parks also have disabled car parking spaces including Belfast City Council managed car parks, CastleCourt Shopping Centre, Victoria Square Shopping Centre, Titanic Belfast and SSE Arena Belfast.

CastleCourt Shopping Centre also features a Changing Places facility with fully accessible toilet facilities for people with profound disabilities. The facility is wheelchair accessible and offers a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench, a ceiling track hoist, and plenty of space for carers.
