Description

The Ards International Guitar Festival is back with a bang in April 2019 with a fresh new programme of guitar inspired gigs, free fringe events, guitar clinics with industry professionals and an exhibition In Your Town featuring Rory Gallagher memorabilia.

Expect a jam-packed line-up of, blues, folk, rock, bluegrass and classical and contemporary music for guitar aficionados across the borough.
Highlights of this year’s festival include Winnipeg born/Cork based guitarist Ariel Posen, Classical virtuoso Gary Ryan and a contemporary line-up featuring Ali Todd, Mike Dawes and Shane Hennessey amongst others.
You’ll also find a screening of the iconic Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster and George Lowden in conversation with special guests.
