Description

On Belfast Bred Food Tours you'll discover the city's fascinating culinary history in the company of Barney, a cheeky chef from the RMS Titanic.

Defrosted after 105 years frozen in an iceberg, Barney has just 2 ½ hours to search Belfast for the finest ingredients. His mission is to recreate a first class banquet served on the iconic ship.
Written by Seth Linder, performed by Michael Lavery and Stephen Beggs, and directed by Paula McFetridge, this mouth-watering dramatic tour gives you the chance to chat with local chefs and savour a wealth of free samples at each location including:
  •     gourmet delights at century-old Sawers Deli, established in 1897
  •     Northern Ireland's celebrated seafood at Mourne Seafood
  •     locally sourced traditional Irish Stew at The Dark Horse
  •     superb artisan beers at the atmospheric John Hewitt.
Finish up at St George's Market, one of the finest food markets in Europe, first opened when Barney was a boy!
This monthly tour is available on various Saturdays throughout the year. Check www.visitbelfast.com/tickets for a full list of dates and times.
Tickets cost £22, including all food and drink samples. The meeting point is Sawers Deli.
