Description

Celebrate the life of Sam McCready at this exhibition of his recent artworks.

The late Sam McCready was well known for his theatre work and acquired an international reputation as actor, director and playwright. Less well known is the fact that he studied painting at Stranmillis College and the Belfast College of Art.

As an artist, he was absorbed with nature in its many moods, with the patterns and rhythms of line, texture and space. This posthumous exhibition reveals his love of nature. No longer wishing to restrict himself to black and white, the vibrancy burst through in this ebullient exhibition entitled ‘Emergence of Colour’.
Sam’s work is held in private and public collections in Ireland, the United States and the Far East.
The exhibition runs at the ArtisAnn Gallery from Thursday 4 April to Saturday 27 April with a preview on Wednesday 3 April from 6 to 8pm
Admission is free.
All art is available to buy, and may be collected/delivered after the exhibition ends.
