Situated at the northern end of Strangford Lough, Newtownards has a wealth of historical treasures waiting to be discovered.  Medieval happenings, Oliver Cromwell’s times and the 1798 rebellion are just some of the fascinating stories you will hear about. 
You will find evidence of how some of history’s most notable civilisations, including the Normans, Celts and Vikings, shaped the town.
Tour departs on foot from the Town Hall, Conway Square.
