Tucked down Pottinger's Entry in the heart of the city, the Morning Star dates back to 1810 and has been ranked in the top 30 pubs for Sunday lunch in the UK. Their Sunday menu changes weekly and the farm-to-fork ethos runs through everything here, with prize-winning beef and lamb sourced directly from local farmers.
The Garrick Bar
The Garrick on Chichester Street is a traditional pub that locals rightly call iconic. The menus are all about flavour and comfort, with classic pub favourites, seasonal specials and generous portions. Their roast of the day is served on Sundays from 12pm to 8pm.

Feeding and watering Belfast since 1901, Fountain Lane on Fountain Street is one of the city's most storied pubs and a brilliant spot for a classic Sunday carvery. The Deer's Head & Bell's Brewery
Belfast's original brewpub, founded in 1885, The Deer's Head on Lower Garfield Street is one of the most distinctive Sunday lunch destinations in the city. A traditional Sunday Roast menu is served from noon to 5pm on Sundays and the kitchen is run by MasterChef finalist head chef Jonny Stevenson of Urban Scullery. The Deer's Head is the Irish Restaurant Award winner for Best Gastropub in Antrim 2026, and the pub is the last remaining on a stretch that once held twelve. Inside, Bell's Brewery is on full display, you can watch the entire brewing process from your seat, and wash down your roast with a pint born and brewed in Belfast.
AMPM
Set in a gorgeous bohemian dining room on Upper Arthur Street, AMPM brings serious style to Sunday lunch in Belfast city centre. The Sunday roast features slow-roasted beef, lamb, chicken and pork from Northern Irish suppliers, served from noon, with two or three courses also available and a kids' menu on offer.
Hastings Stormont Hotel
