Description

An intimate and unique setting with cocktail bar, nightclub and Belfast's biggest beer garden.

Sharp and industrial design with minimal and simple aesthetics, The National offers a contemporary twist on the beautiful listed Victorian building it’s housed in. Offering an airy and sophisticated space to relax and socialise with friends, you won’t want to leave!

The National offers café dining and evening carousing at its best! With paired back cocktail menus, simple but bold food menus and coffee that packs a punch, expect the best in local food and drink stripped back.

UPSTAIRS

The cocktail bar, nightclub and roof terrace is housed over three floors. Upstairs at The National conjures the glamour of a classic Victorian gentleman's club, bringing upper levels of this Grade B+ listed former National Bank building back to their former glory.

Original features including high ceilings with intricate cornices, carved wooden pillars, original doors and a distinctive wrought iron and stone staircase which have been sympathetically restored. Plush fabrics, furnishings and fittings have been added to update the interior of the striking venue, which dates to the 1890s.

On the first floor, the intimate cocktail bar serves a range of innovative drinks, with an impressive range of classic and more experimental Twisted Classic cocktails, alongside premium spirits, beers and an impressive champagne list.

Two custom-built Moët and Chandon tables, with a recess to hold a chilled magnum of Moët, is part of a collaboration with the brand, which is the venue's house champagne.  A bottle table service, with premium spirits including Absolut Elyx, is also available throughout the venue.

On the upper two floors, the nightclub features live DJ entertainment from Thursday to Sunday, with access to the venue's exclusive rooftop terrace via the third floor. A varied music policy spans everything from house, funk, disco, electro swing and RnB.
