The Chinese New Year celebrations return to Belfast on 17 February 2026, welcoming the Year of the Horse. The 16-day festival concludes with the Lantern Festival on 3 March 2026, the night of the next full moon—known as the Worm Moon, which will also feature a dramatic “blood moon” total lunar eclipse.
