Dragonfly & Damselfly Training Workshop
Description
Interested in learning about biodiversity? Come along to this Dragonflies and Damselfly training workshop at the RSPB NI Montiaghs Moss Nature Reserve.
In this workshop, learn how to identify the variety of Dragonfly and Damselfly currently found in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland with Michael Bell. You will look at features used to identify them and what resources are available to help. After the Introduction, you will visit the nearby grounds of the Montiaghs Moss Nature Reserve to find species to identify.
Please note, this event does not take place at the Ulster Folk Museum but at the RSPB Montiaghs Moss Nature Reserve, Montaighs Rd, Craigavon BT67 0BA
What to know:
-All levels of species identification experience are welcome.
-This course is open to adults with an interest in Dragonfly/Damselfly biodiversity and recording (18+).
-Suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor fieldwork is essential. Please consider bringing along sunscreen and your net if you have one.
-Please bring a packed lunch as you will be out in the field most of the day.
