This program is tailored for those eager to grasp the essentials of foraging, covering plant identification, ethical practices, and the art of transforming your harvest into delectable meals. This course delves into fundamental foraging principles, emphasising the perks of wild edibles and strategies for responsible and eco-friendly foraging. Explore plant identification, mastering the recognition of commonly foraged plants, including details on their characteristics, seasonal availability, and culinary applications.

Ethical considerations take centre stage as they delve into responsible foraging practices. Learn to harvest judiciously, leaving ample resources for wildlife and future foragers. Navigate the delicate balance of avoiding endangered or rare species, while also uncovering the cultural and historical significance of wild edibles and their role in fostering sustainable food systems.

Session Times: Apr – Oct (3pm – 6.30pm) or Nov (12pm – 3.30pm)

Foraging Eco Pack: For hygiene reasons you will be presented with your own eco pack containing a plate, cup, bowl, cutlery, napkins, hand sanitiser and your free book.
