Exhibition: ‘What Held You Back?’ with Dominic McKeown
Description
“What held you back” will present a new body work stemming from the on-going engagement of working with materials from the past and present experiences, public and private spaces.
These wall-based sculptures and drawings will form a series of arrangements that converge play and tension together as one, explored throughout an assortment of domestic and non-domestic materials.
"Referring from personal experiences in educational systems, as neurodiverse person play has been an integral part of my development, these sculptural drawings trigger personal thoughts on escapism, intervention and structure as the looming contrast of tension supports each individual material composition.
These sculptures and drawings encourage us reconnect our perspectives on how we play and explore within models of education." - Dominic McKeown
