Description

RE[nourish] yourself with a delectable degustation of fresh, locally sourced produce.

While food is essential for life, its production, distribution and consumption can have several negative effects in our planet. Addressing this challenge requires a shift toward more sustainable food systems, which include reducing waste, promoting local produce and ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all.

In partnership with The Academy Restaurant at Ulster University—the first in the UK and Ireland to earn the prestigious Green Key certificate for its commitment to sustainability—this 4-course small plates tasting menu celebrates the rich bounty of Northern Ireland’s 11 councils. The meal is accompanied by a talk about Sustainable Gastronomy delivered by Dr Susann Power, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality at Ulster University and the Lead behind the ‘Green Academy’ programme.
